05Installation

Installation conditions

Installed where drainage to the sewer cannot rely on gravity; the unit collects toilet, shower, basin and washing machine discharge and pumps it to the main drain.
The inlet must sit above the start level printed for the model, because the float switches the pump on at that height.
The motor and electrical parts sit in a chamber separated from the collection tank, and the enclosure class printed for the model applies to the unit.

Check before selection

Discharge line length, vertical lift and solids content must be checked against the published flow and head curve before selection. A maximum water temperature is printed for the WL550A only; the other WL models do not list one.
